The website www.devkitmarket.com is owned and operated by Nikhil Anand, an independent full-stack developer based in Bengaluru, India. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable laws such as the EU/UK GDPR, we are the party that decides how and why your personal data is processed.

Information you give us

• Project estimate requests (Hire Me and service pages): your name, mobile number, and optionally your email address, plus what you are building, project type, budget, timeline, and a short brief.
• AI proposal builder: your project description, project type, priority, budget and currency, timeline, tech preferences, whether you have designs, your timezone and local time, your preferred contact channel and handle, email address, and phone number.
• AI chat assistant: the questions and messages you type into the floating chat widget.
• Email: anything you send us directly at support@devkitmarket.com.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data such as pages visited, referring website, time on page, clicks, and approximate location (country/city derived from your IP address).
• Device data such as browser type, operating system, screen size, and language.
• Cookie and similar identifiers set by Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag (see Cookies & analytics).

Information we do not collect

We do not collect payment card details, government IDs, or passwords. The login and registration screens on the site are not currently active and do not store any credentials. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as health, financial, or biometric information.

• To respond to your estimate request or proposal and follow up about your project through the channel you chose.
• To generate an AI-assisted project proposal (scope, stack, timeline, and estimate) and email a copy to you and to us.
• To answer your questions through the AI chat assistant.
• To measure traffic, understand which pages and tools are useful, and improve the site.
• To measure the performance of our advertising campaigns (for example, whether a visit from a Google ad led to an enquiry).
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Our legal bases are your consent (which you give when you submit a form or start a chat), our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.

Two features use Google's Gemini API: the floating chat assistant and the AI proposal builder. When you use them, the text you enter (and, for the proposal builder, the project details listed above) is sent from our server to Google to generate a reply.

• Please do not enter passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information into the chat or proposal fields.
• We do not use your chat messages to build a profile of you, and we do not store chat history on our servers.
• Google processes this data under the Gemini API terms and Google's privacy policy. AI responses may be inaccurate — treat any generated estimate as a starting point, not a quote.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We do not use cookies for logins or shopping carts. The cookies on this site come from the analytics and advertising services below:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google's opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Blocking cookies will not break any part of the site.

The free tools on /tools — including the JSON formatter, Zod schema, Prisma, README, package.json, metadata, .env, project structure, Tailwind color, and landing page generators — run entirely in your browser. The code and data you paste into them are not sent to our servers.

• The JSON formatter saves your last input and indent setting in your browser's localStorage so they are still there when you return.
• Your light/dark theme preference is saved in localStorage.
• This data never leaves your device. Clear it anytime from your browser's site data settings.

Each provider processes data only as needed to provide its service to us and under its own privacy policy and security commitments.

We share personal data only with the service providers listed above, and in these limited cases:

• When required by law, court order, or a valid request from a government authority.
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of DevKit Market, our users, or the public.
• If the business is ever transferred or sold, in which case your data would remain protected by this policy.

• Estimate and proposal enquiries are stored in our email inbox for up to 24 months after our last contact, or longer if we enter into a project together and records are needed for accounting and tax purposes.
• Chat messages are not stored by us after the reply is generated.
• Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months.
• Browser storage data stays on your device until you clear it.

You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time by emailing support@devkitmarket.com.

The entire site is served over HTTPS. API keys for third-party services are kept on the server and never exposed to the browser, form inputs are validated and escaped, and we collect only the data we actually need. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of any data breach as required by law.

Depending on where you live (including under India's DPDP Act, the EU/UK GDPR, and California's CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you and get a summary of how it is processed.
• Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion (erasure) of your data.
• Withdraw your consent at any time — this won't affect processing that already happened.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and request a portable copy of your data.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity (DPDP Act).
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, or the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@devkitmarket.com. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

DevKit Market is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We are based in India, and our service providers (such as Vercel, Google, and Resend) may store and process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, and are made only to countries not restricted by the Government of India.

We may update this policy as the site evolves — for example, when we launch accounts or online checkout. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will make it clear on the site before it takes effect.
